Lifeguard Certification

At the Y, we periodically hold YMCA Lifeguarding Class for those 16 and over to become Certified Lifeguards. Each participant will be tested throughout the program to obtain certification. Passing and completing all class and e-learnings, a prerequisite swim test, water skills, and written tests, as well as passing CPR for the Professional Rescuer, first aid and Oxygen administration is required to become certified. 100% attendance is also mandatory. Fees include certifications and books.

CPR, AED, & First Aid

Class includes training for Adult and child CPR, basic first aid, AED and Emergency oxygen administration and is taught by a certified American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED instructor.

This is a blended learning class: email link sent upon registration. Class size is limited. Open to anyone 14 years and older.

Required online class completion before in-person class.

Online time approximately 3 hours, in person class time 4 hours (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.)

CPR & First Aid Training Cost: $75 members | $150 non-members
